Coban

The city of Coban lies in the center of a number of major natural attractions: the Biotopo del Quetzal, the Grutas de Lanquin and the emerald pools of Semuc-Champey. The Biotopo del Quetzal is a cloud forest and the natural habitat of the Quetzal, Guatemala's colorful national bird.

The Grutas de Lanquin are a vast subterranean cave system. Finally, Semuc-Champey is a spectacular series of turquoise to emerald green pools on top of a natural limestone bridge.
