Copan Ruinas

Copan, just 13 km from the Guatemalan border in Honduras, is the site of one of the most outstanding Mayan ruins. Huge, intricately carved stelae portraying the rulers of Copan and an abundance of hieroglyphic inscriptions make this site particularly impressive.
