Monterrico

The Pacific Coast offers beaches with black volcanic sand, warm water for swimming and great wave for body surfing.

In Monterrico, there is also a nature reserve of mangrove swamps with an abundance of bird and aquatic life. Several endangered species of animals like turtles and kaimans are raised in a center right on the beach, which is open to visitors.
